TDP Lost to Congress

I have been so disappointed with the fact that TDP and particularly Chandrababu Naidu the outgoing Chief Minister have lost the elections in Andhra Pradesh. Primarily my disappointment arises from the suspicion, which the Times of India confirmed today, that political parties will now form the opinion that development of urban areas is a definite no-no leading to their demise in the next elections if the follow the reformist approach. This doesnt bode well for us in the next few years. The new CM is careful about what he says regarding reforms - he surely doesnt want to alienate the urbanites, yet he did win the elections on promises to the rural areas. Development of both is ideal however if we have voted out a party simply because they just developed Hyderabad and not the rest of AP and voted in a party that is not going to develop anything I think we will be seeing really unhappy times - a relapse - for AP.
