Hyderabad's continuing downslide
Hyderabad seems to continue its onward march to becoming the most boring city in India. The police raided places that were open past 9pm!!! 9 pm I suppose is too late for good, god-fearing, law-abiding people to be out of their homes. Someone seems to have told them that there's a curfew in the city.
Hyderabad has a non-existant night-life with everything closing down before 11pm. All the night-clubs are force-closed before this cindrella-like deadline just in case everyone turns into raving lunatics and the police have to deal with them. The rationale behind this being that the city remains a safe (and very boring) place with these kind of rules to them.
Most people accepted this grudgingly. But this latest assault on peace-loving people having a good time on a weekend at 9 is not going to go down easy. Who wants to live here anymore? Perhaps thats is what they want, a return to the lazy and dull days back before Naidu took it upon himself to make something of Hyderabad.
